Porto Marghera coastal terminal occupies around 22 hectares of the Second Industrial Zone of Porto Marghera and is the only terminal in the area authorised to store both oil and chemical products.
It is provided with 2 jetties for vessels of 50 dwt which open on to the Industrial Channel and it is connected to the open sea via the Malamocco channel.
DECAL is the most important intermodal centre in North-east of Italy having been conceived for the transportation of liquids by sea, road and rail. In fact the terminal is connected in a very efficient manner with the principal motorway networks.
The investments made with an eye to environmental protection allow the Marghera Terminal to provide its services without disturbing the delicate natural balance of the Venice Lagoon.
